Prior to your departure, you will be advised on the capacity of the hold on your chosen aircraft. This is always way more generous than that of a commercial airline. You may also need to upgrade if you intend bringing items such as golf clubs and skis. Delicate items are cared for with ultimate precaution. If travelling with a weapon, which is normally deemed unnecessary, you will need to provide a license and both the weapon and ammunition must be kept separate. It is, of course, at the captain’s discretion whether it is accepted on board, or not.
